TMT. Malinen Oy, Transcomponent Finland Ab and Widni Oy will merge into one organization

Companies at Axel Johnson International's Vehicle Components -division to merge into country organizations in Finland and Sweden

In Finland, the Vehicle Components -division includes TMT. Malinen Oy, Transcomponent Finland Ab and Widni Oy, which will merge into one organization. The merger will be carried out in two stages by the end of 2025. The new organization, starting in January 2026, will be renamed TMT Widni Oy.

The changes will not affect other companies in the group.

The companies will operate as before until the merger is concluded.

“The companies are individually valued for their high-quality service, and they have a similar market strategy, serve the same customers and can achieve even more together. Transcomponent's well-known toolboxes (BT) will be further developed in parallel with the TMT brand. By combining our resources, we can continue to offer customers the good service, an even wider product range and expertise for the needs of the transport industry,” says Tea Lehto, CEO of TMT Widni.

In Sweden, the new company, Abileer AB, will combine HBA Fordonsteknik AB, Sternhammar AB and CDS Produkter AB operations into one stronger player in the market.

“Vehicle Components is the Nordic division of Axel Johnson International’s Transport Solutions unit. Since 2017, Axel Johnson International has acquired eight companies. The group has now a total of 13 companies with a turnover of almost EUR 100 million. All the acquired companies are specialist companies serving their customer segments, but they also have a lot in common and together they form a strong network. We are not making changes to reduce staff, but to create more opportunities,” says Erik Eklöv, CEO of Transport Solutions.

Transport Solutions include well-known companies such as Forankra Group, Allsafe, Abkati, Verne, Trailerkomponenter and Parlok.
